Do you see the sparkling stars behind the shimmering obelisk, in sight not touch, a remnant of a memory severed from reality, and then fried to a crisp under golden afterburners. There's purple smoke and howling screams billowing and soaring, smoldering, now dead. And so the rich reach up, more so...goodbye. A rocket explodes, insurgents know that well placed "flip" could invoke unbridled factions to topple the steeples gorged with the currency of god. Oh shit, it's time to depart, I heard this failure-drenched planet is cursed. You, I see you rise. A blaze through the night, intoxicatingly high. Leave the rest here to wave goodbye, choke, and die.

Left and right, I collect my failures. They pile up like old letters of dead memories. With my head held in my hands, I was never meant for anything more than this. My silhouette frays at the edges. I draw a new outline.
