Originally released digitally in 2012, Zegema Beach Records fell in love and asked for some tapes, to which the band agreed. So in 2018 we made 33 tapes, and now at the tail-end of 2021 we want to remind you again about one of the best Canadian math-rock albums of the last decade. Mixing equal parts jangly North Of America with the sassiness of For The Mathematics (p.s. same drummer!) these 8 tunes are as fun as they are jarring. Definitely influenced by Faraquet and At The Drive In. Girl Arm has since changed their band name to WORKS. We also updated the digital release with an unreleased live track!

12” lathes /37, 18 black and 19 clear. Pale yellow tinted cassette/30 with j-card (blue sparkle/white sparkle/two-color blue) and gold foil ZBR stamp /30. 8 tracks.

Originally released digitally in 2012, this Canadian math-rock masterpiece is available physically for the first time via 30 cassette tapes. The pale yellow tinted tapes are housed in a resealable plastic sleeve, contain a gold foil ZBR stamp #/30 and are wrapped in a one-sided diy j-card. There are 3 j-card variants:
10 w/baby blue sparkle (ZBR exclusive)
10 w/white pearl sparkle (ZBR exclusive)
10 w/two-colour light/dark blue (band exclusive)

Three years after that, we released 12” lathes /37, 18 black and 19 clear. We also uploaded an unreleased live jam (track 9)!!!

There is something purely authentic and honest about Infant Island's music. These songs are substantial in their impact that go deep under the surface. The sound mix is everywhere (track 3 on headphones?!?!) with some of the slower nuanced moments giving needed space for maximum effect when the violent intensity hits. But on career highlight "Awoken," they leave nothing behind. A must hear song from an increasingly important band. bcb723

One of the best post-hc that I've ever heard, this stuff drills deep. Heart-grating album, full of bona fide cleansing fire. Spectre of sweet painful feelings that these guys adduce are so sincere, so genuine. Musicianship is awesome, plenty of little tricks and details going on all the time.
